Gwinnett County Public Schools 403(b) Vendors and Plan Guide (2026)
Georgia's largest district runs its 403(b) and 457(b) through one provider. Here is how the plan works, what is in the fund lineup, and how to enroll.
One Provider, One Fund Lineup
Gwinnett County Public Schools offers its 403(b) and 457(b) Retirement Savings Plans through Corebridge Financial, with recordkeeping by VALIC Retirement Services Company. There is no multi-vendor menu to sort through: participants enroll with Corebridge and choose from a district fund lineup. Enrollment and account management run through gcps.corebridgefinancial.com or by phone at 1-888-569-7055.
The district's published investment lineup is broader than many single-provider plans. It includes low-cost index exposure through Vanguard Institutional Index, active funds such as Dodge and Cox Stock and PIMCO Total Return, international coverage via American Funds EuroPacific Growth, a full T. Rowe Price target-date series from 2010 through 2065, a VALIC fixed-interest option, and a Schwab PCRA self-directed brokerage window for hands-on investors.
Because the 403(b) and 457(b) are separate IRS plan categories, eligible GCPS employees can contribute to both in the same year, each up to its own limit. The governmental 457(b) also carries no 10 percent early withdrawal penalty, a real advantage for educators planning to retire early.

Want a Vendor That Is Not on the Plan?
National Life Group is not currently on the GCPS lineup
Because GCPS runs its supplemental plans through a single provider, National Life Group is not an option inside the district plan today. Adding a provider is a district-level decision. If vendor choice matters to you, two practical moves: raise it with GCPS Human Resources, and have the options you do control reviewed, including the current plan's real costs and any savings you hold outside payroll, such as an IRA. We will walk you through both.

- Which funds you actually hold: the gap between the cheapest index option and the most expensive active fund on the same menu compounds for decades.
- Old accounts from previous districts: if you taught elsewhere first, a legacy 403(b) may still be sitting in a high-fee product. See our orphaned 403(b) playbook.
- The 403(b) plus 457(b) stack: two separate limits mean aggressive savers can defer far more than a single plan allows. Read our 403(b) vs 457(b) comparison.

Who runs the Gwinnett County Public Schools 403(b)?
The GCPS 403(b) and 457(b) Retirement Savings Plans are offered through Corebridge Financial, with recordkeeping by VALIC Retirement Services Company, per the district's plan flyer. Participants enroll and manage accounts at gcps.corebridgefinancial.com or by calling 1-888-569-7055.
What investment options does the GCPS 403(b) offer?
The district's published lineup includes index and active mutual funds such as Vanguard Institutional Index, Dodge and Cox Stock, PIMCO Total Return, American Funds EuroPacific Growth, a full T. Rowe Price target-date series, a VALIC fixed-interest option, and a Schwab PCRA self-directed brokerage window. Confirm the current lineup with GCPS or Corebridge, since fund menus change.
Is National Life Group available in the GCPS 403(b)?
No. GCPS offers its 403(b) and 457(b) through a single provider, Corebridge Financial, so National Life Group is not currently on the district lineup. Adding a provider is a district-level decision; educators who want more choice can raise it with GCPS Human Resources, and can also review savings options outside the district plan, such as an IRA.
Can GCPS employees contribute to both a 403(b) and a 457(b)?
Yes, the district offers both plan types, and the IRS treats them as separate categories with independent contribution limits. The governmental 457(b) also has no 10 percent early withdrawal penalty, which matters for educators who plan to retire before age 59 and a half.
